An availability record is a snapshot of an outfit at one point in its history. It includes the name, what the source said about how it became available, and the date of that information. We treat these as historical context. An old announcement isn’t a current shop listing, and a screenshot from a past season doesn’t say anything about access right now.
On December 20, 2024, Epic announced that Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper were returning in the OG Season Shop. The post noted both outfits first appeared in 2017 and described a later window of access. It’s a clear example of a release history with more than one chapter. It doesn’t tell you whether they’re in the shop today or how many people own them.
Reference fields
The base outfit and any extra style are separate parts of the record. The name points to the cosmetic, the style points to the variation, and the date places the statement in time. Without those distinctions the history is incomplete.
The outfit name refers to the underlying item. Another appearance of the same item still belongs to its availability history. A new screenshot or a changed UI doesn’t by itself mean a brand-new cosmetic.
A variation has its own look and, when the records say so, its own unlock conditions. Owning the base outfit doesn’t automatically mean every associated style is in the same locker.
On August 7, 2024, Epic described a change for later Battle Pass items: they become eligible for the shop at least eighteen months after the pass ends. Eligibility is not the same as a scheduled return. The announcement didn’t promise every item would come back. We record the date and what was actually said — no countdown timers and no stretching the rule to unrelated releases. The same idea applies to styles. An announcement about a base item doesn’t automatically cover every variation that was ever tied to it. A careful historical note sticks to the conditions that were stated for that specific release. It also keeps the item’s origin separate from the date of the announcement talking about it. These pages document that context without claiming current availability for the whole catalog.

Official announcements only cover the events and conditions written in them. The references below simply name the publications used for these examples. This site is not an exhaustive archive of every shop rotation, seasonal reward, or style rule.
